Russian citizens’ cell phone numbers used for ‘Gosuslugi’ will be verified for accuracy, as reported on August 24 by TASS referring to a plan of actions approved by the government.
According to the document, the verification will be carried out in situations where users provide mobile numbers to access state services through the ‘Gosuslugi’ portal.
This measure aims to ensure that the phone numbers linked to citizens’ accounts on ‘Gosuslugi’ are current and up to date. It forms part of a broader initiative to enhance the security and efficiency of online public services in Russia.
The verification process for cell phone numbers used on ‘Gosuslugi’ will likely involve sending a confirmation code to the provided number, which users will need to enter on the portal to validate their contact information.
By implementing this verification procedure, Russian authorities aim to reduce the risk of outdated or incorrect phone numbers causing issues with accessing state services through the ‘Gosuslugi’ platform.
Users are advised to ensure that their registered phone numbers are correct and up to date to prevent any disruptions in using ‘Gosuslugi’ for various governmental transactions.
