Russian Families Lose Their Elite Apartments in Egypt

In Sharm el-Sheikh, Egyptian authorities have taken away the right to apartments in the Royal Oasis elite residential complex from Russian families, despite the fact that they were purchased over 15 years ago. According to telegram channels, people were evicted from their homes, locks were changed, and they were left out on the street with their belongings. Several Russian families had bought property in the Royal Oasis residential complex in 2008. However, it was soon revealed that the land on which the complex was located belonged to a local bank called Housing and Development, leased by the owner’s mother for 100 years. After the owner passed away, his mother transferred ownership of the complex to the bank to settle her son’s debts.
