Secretary General of the World Muslim League Describes Indonesia as the Country with the Best Harmony Practices

Jakarta – The Secretary General of the World Muslim League (Rabitah al-‘Alam al-Islami), Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, has described Indonesia as the country with the best harmony practices in the world. According to him, the religious and cultural diversity in Indonesia is a source of strength, not conflict. ‘It is impossible for all humans to have the same religious or intellectual beliefs. However, in Indonesia, there are values of awareness and respect among religious followers that grow and should be emulated by other countries,’ he said during the Interreligious Harmony Dialogue held by the Center for Interreligious Harmony (PKUB) at the H M Rasjidi Hall, Jakarta, last Saturday (12/6/2025). Through the event attended by more than 350 participants, the Secretary General of the World Muslim League emphasized that interfaith dialogue will only succeed if based on shared principles and conducted by individuals who have a deep understanding of religious teachings, and are focused on real action.
