South Korean Industry Minister Kim Jung-kwan recently met with his United Arab Emirates (UAE) counterpart to explore opportunities for collaboration in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI) and energy. The meeting took place in Abu Dhabi where Minister Kim engaged with UAE’s industry minister, Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber. This discussion followed a bilateral summit between the two countries’ leaders, where they expressed their commitment to enhancing economic cooperation across various sectors. One significant outcome of the summit was the decision to jointly develop a cooperation model for entering global markets based on the success of the Barakah nuclear power plant project led by Korea Electric Power Corp.
