Jakarta – A sad news arrived from the seventh wife of the first President of the Republic of Indonesia, Soekarno, Yurike Sanger. She passed away in California, United States (US).
“The Indonesian Consulate General in Los Angeles has been in communication with the family of the late Mrs. Yurike Sanger,” said Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Director of Citizens and Legal Entities Protection, Judha Nugraha.
Yurike Sanger was known for being the seventh wife of Soekarno, who was Indonesia’s first president. Her passing generated condolences and reactions from many in Indonesia.
The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that preparations are underway for the repatriation of Yurike Sanger’s body back to Indonesia.
“We are coordinating with relevant parties to ensure a smooth process for the return of the late Mrs. Yurike Sanger’s remains to Indonesia,” stated Judha Nugraha.
