Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially confirmed that Shan Masood will continue as the captain of the Pakistan Test team for the upcoming 2025-27 World Test Championship (WTC) cycle. Despite being demoted to a D category in PCB contracts, Masood’s leadership has been deemed essential by the board. Despite facing mixed results, the PCB trusts Masood’s capabilities, especially as Pakistan gears up to confront South Africa in a critical home series commencing in October.
