Shuswap Girl Continues Miki Memorial Walk and Run to Fundraise for Ethiopia

The Miki Memorial Walk and Run, scheduled for August 24, will honor the legacy of Mikiyas Hatton, who passed away on November 1, 2024. The event aims to carry on Miki’s vision of providing clean water to communities in Ethiopia. ‘It’s hard to keep doing it without him,’ says a Shuswap resident involved in organizing the walk, highlighting the emotional connection to Miki’s cause. Participants are encouraged to join the walk/run at McGuire Park to show their support for this important cause. The event serves as a meaningful way to remember Miki and continue his impactful work.
