The police of Lombok Island, Indonesia, discovered the lifeless body of Spanish tourist Matilde Muñoz, who had been missing for two months. Matilde, born in Ferrol and residing in the Balearic Islands, stopped responding to messages from her family in August. Her disappearance prompted a widespread search effort by Indonesian authorities and volunteers. Sadly, her body was found on Saturday in a remote area of Lombok, confirming fears of a tragic outcome. The Spanish Embassy in Indonesia is working with local authorities to investigate the circumstances surrounding Matilde Muñoz’s death.
