During a meeting on Wednesday, senior officials of the National Election Commission provided instructions to district school inspectors in Nadia and Murshidabad, along with the district administration. Emphasizing the geographical and political importance of the districts, they focused on the need to address issues such as absenteeism, multiple addresses, and ghost electors. The officials reminded everyone of the strictness of the commission’s hand in handling voter information. The majority of BLOs in the state were recruited as school teachers through SVEEP work, but due to errors in the enumeration form digitization process, previous data need reuploading. The deadline for this task is December 9 when the final voter list will be published.
