A student suicide at a school due to alleged teacher bullying resulted in the suspension of the headmaster and three teachers. Police investigation is underway. Sixteen-year-old Shourya Patil, a student at St. Columba’s School in Delhi, took his life by jumping from a metro station this month. In a suicide note, he mentioned the mistreatment and bullying by teachers, urging his mother to forgive him and to take action against those responsible. Patil’s father, Pradeep Patil, filed a police complaint naming school headmaster, class teacher Julie Varghese, Manu Kalra, and Yukti Agarwal as the cause of his son’s suicide.
