According to Lighthouse Professional Edition data, as of August 18th at 3:00 PM, the total box office of the 2025 summer movie season (June 1st to August 31st) has exceeded 100 billion yuan. ‘Nanjing Photo Studio,’ ‘Wandering Mountain Little Monster,’ ‘Lychee in Chang’an,’ ‘Jurassic World: Rebirth,’ and ‘The Legend of Luo Xiaohei 2’ are currently the top five highest-grossing films of the summer season.
Industry experts believe that looking at the overall box office trend, this year’s summer movie season is still going strong. As of August 18th, the daily box office has surpassed 1 billion yuan for 31 consecutive days.
