Supreme Court Orders Removal of Stray Animals from Highways and Wildlife Sanctuaries

The Supreme Court has taken serious note of the increasing cases of stray animals found in educational institutions, hospitals, and other institutional sites across the country. Justices Vikram Nath, Sandeep Mehta, and A.V. Anjariya’s bench has publicly announced significant directives on this matter. The bench has instructed all relevant authorities to take immediate steps to prevent the entry of stray animals into the premises of government and private educational institutions as well as hospitals, in order to control the potential attacks by these animals. The bench further emphasized that captured stray animals should be relocated to designated shelters.
