Supreme Court Ruling on Stray Dogs: All Chief Secretaries Must Attend – Supreme Court’s Warning on Stray Dogs Issue

The Supreme Court once again ordered all states to address the issue of stray dogs. The Solicitor General had angered the Supreme Court by seeking virtual attendance from the Chief Secretaries of the states in this case. Justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep Mehta rejected the plea for virtual attendance, stating that the orders of the court must be followed, and physical presence is mandatory on November 3rd. This directive comes after states and union territories failed to comply with the order for relief in the animal birth control rules earlier on August 22nd.
