Tarcísio says Flávio Bolsonaro can count on him and time will tell if it was the best option

The governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas, stated on Monday that the pre-candidacy of Flávio Bolsonaro for the Presidency of Brazil can count on his support. However, he mentioned that time will tell if this was the best option. When asked if choosing Flávio was a good strategy, as polls show he performs better than the senator in the presidential race, Tarcísio replied that time will allow for an evaluation. “We will assess this over time. It’s early. We have time for maturation,” he declared. In an interview with Folha de S. Paulo on Monday, Flávio Bolsonaro said he has an advantage over Tarcísio because of the Bolsonaro surname, and that his candidacy is ‘irreversible’. On Sunday, he had stated that the candidacy would have ‘a price’ and he could step back.
