‘The Black Phone 2’ brings supernatural elements in a good sequence with more scares; g1 has seen it

But ‘The Black Phone 2’, which premieres in Brazilian theaters this Thursday (16), manages to overcome the initial skepticism. The film offers fans of the first movie and the genre a new story that, while not groundbreaking, is well-executed, with good suspenseful elements and more scares than seen in the previous production. Set four years after the first movie, the plot follows Finney Shaw (Mason Thames, from ‘How to Train Your Dragon’), who tries to live a normal life again, despite becoming the school bully and getting into fights every now and then. He still has the support of his sister, Gwen (Madeleine McGraw), and does his best to forget everything that happened to him. However, Gwen starts having dreams with strange images showing crime victims caused by a mysterious being at a winter camp. Determined to find out what’s going on, she takes her brother and a friend, Ernesto (Miguel Mora), to the location. Upon arriving there, they find themselves isolated by a snowstorm with the establishment’s staff.
