The ‘Eurotroika’ represents part of the signatories of the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA, or ‘nuclear deal’). There are a total of six signatories to the JCPOA: the five permanent members of the UN Security Council, including Russia, China, and the USA, as well as Germany. Essentially, the JCPOA regulates Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief and continued monitoring.
