The mass poisoning tragedy caused by the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program has left deep wounds for the victims’ families. Thousands of children who should have received nutrition had to be hospitalized due to digestive disorders, falling under the category of Extraordinary Events (KLB). The chairman of the Indonesian Pediatrician Association (IDAI), Aman Bhakti Pulungan, expressed his concern and emphasized the importance of learning from Malaysia’s experience in implementing similar programs. He stated, ‘Indonesia should learn from the experience of Malaysia in conducting food aid programs to prevent such tragic incidents from happening again.’
