Based on information provided, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) apprehended Shah and Attari at Chennai airport a couple of months ago. Subsequent searches conducted in Mumbai failed to uncover any contraband, resulting in the trio being charged in Chennai under the NDPS case. Simultaneously, the Mumbai police received a tip-off on September 2 and, following an investigation, discovered that Kapoor had stashed contraband at Sabina guest house. The Dongri police executed a search, seizing 3 kilograms of cocaine valued at Rs 15 crore.
