Three police officers arrested after killing unarmed suspect in SP

According to the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP), the commander of the military police battalion initiated a Military Police Inquiry (MPI) after analyzing the footage from the officers’ body cameras. The suspects, along with three others, invaded a house around 8 p.m., armed and with their faces covered. They held a couple in their 70s hostage. The woman described being tied up, along with her husband, and gagged with cloth. While three of the suspects searched for valuables, the couple was under threat of death. After 20 minutes, the woman was forced to hand over the car keys before being tied up tightly again. As the criminals prepared to flee, the PM Tactical Force arrived. The woman heard commands and gunshots from the bedroom, but neither she nor her husband were hurt. The house did not have internal cameras, and the victims could not identify the robbers as they remained masked throughout the incident. The group had weapons, ammunition, and stolen items. The case is being investigated by the Homicide and Person Protection Department.
