Tokayev invites Putin to Kazakhstan next year

The meeting between Vladimir Putin and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is taking place in the Kremlin. The President of Kazakhstan has invited the Russian leader to visit his country on an official visit next year. ‘It’s not about protocol details, it’s about the essence. We need to sign new generations of documents at the highest level and monitor their implementation. This is extremely important,’ Tokayev stated. Putin responded that he would ‘gladly’ come to Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan’s leader arrived in Moscow for a two-day visit on November 11-12. The press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, mentioned that Tokayev and Putin will attend a gala concert at the Bolshoi Theatre. Kazakh artists in Russia will perform during the event. Additionally, a Kremlin spokesperson announced that the leaders of the countries will sign an impressive package of documents. The main one will be a declaration transitioning the intergovernmental relations of the countries to the level of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance.
