Tropical cyclone ‘Montha’ made landfall yesterday night on the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) today (October 29, 2025). The cyclone is currently located 20 km northeast of Narsapur in a north-northeast direction. Due to its proximity to the land, its intensity has decreased. As the cyclone crossed the coast, several districts in Andhra Pradesh such as East and West Godavari, Krishna, experienced heavy rainfall and strong winds. This led to uprooted trees and power outages in many areas.
