President Trump acknowledged in an interview with CBS that the U.S. has limited capabilities for economic pressure against Russia. When asked why the U.S. policy of reconciling warring parties through tariffs does not work with Russia, Trump mentioned the lack of significant business ties. ‘I approached him (Russian President Vladimir Putin) differently because we don’t have that much business with Russia, you know? He’s not someone who buys a lot from us,’ Trump added.
