Donald Trump, the President of the United States, is holding crucial talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin at a military base in Alaska, discussing how to end the ongoing three and a half year war in Ukraine. The war began in February 2022 when Russia invaded its neighboring country Ukraine.
Shortly after arriving at the airport, both Trump and Putin disembarked from their respective planes, walked along the red carpet towards each other, and shook hands. Facing the cameras, they did not respond to journalists’ questions. As they walked towards their respective cars, the two briefly conversed before driving to the meeting venue.
