Tutankhamun’s Tomb Fully Displayed at Egypt’s New £910m Museum

Visitors to the new Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) will now have the unique opportunity to see the complete contents of Tutankhamun’s tomb, including his famous gold mask, throne, and chariots. This is the first time these artifacts have been displayed together since Howard Carter discovered the tomb in 1922. Dr. Tarek Tawfik, president of the International Association of Egyptologists, proposed the idea to exhibit the entire tomb’s contents to create a comprehensive experience for visitors. The GEM, located near the Great Pyramid of Khufu at Giza, showcases over 100,000 artifacts spanning 7,000 years of Egypt’s history.
