Two journalists from Jakarta are suing Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Traffic and Road Transportation to the Constitutional Court. They believe that the traffic light system in Indonesia is not friendly to partially color blind people. The journalists argue that the current traffic light colors make it difficult for color blind individuals to distinguish between red and green lights. They propose changing the green traffic lights to blue, similar to those in Japan, to make it easier for color blind people to navigate the streets safely.
