UAE Strongly Condemns Israeli Strikes on Damascus Suburbs – Foreign Ministry

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) expressed strong condemnation for the Israeli strikes on the suburbs of Damascus. The UAE Foreign Ministry called on the international community to take immediate action to prevent further attacks on Syrian territory. Syrian TV reported that Israeli fighter jets targeted the village of Beit Jinn near Damascus, resulting in civilian casualties. The strikes followed an incident where Israeli soldiers were ambushed in a civilian Syrian community. The ministry emphasized the need to curtail repeated attacks on Syrian soil to avoid escalating regional tensions and compromising peace and security. Since the change of power in Damascus, Israel has increased raids in southern Syrian provinces, leading to rising tensions. Syria has continuously appealed to the international community to press Israel to halt its aggressive actions, citing threats to regional stability. In December 2024, Israel declared the nullification of a key agreement with Syria over the Golan Heights, exacerbating the situation.
