UAE’s Decision on Gaza Peace Force Due to Lack of Clarity: Report

The US has engaged with various countries, including Indonesia, the UAE, Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, and Azerbaijan, to contribute to the peacekeeping force. Israel has objected to Turkey’s involvement, while Azerbaijan has conditioned its participation on the cessation of all hostilities. Despite ruling out direct troop deployment in Gaza, the US has stationed a small number of soldiers in the region for coordination purposes in anticipation of a potential deployment. Gargash stressed the importance of upholding the principles of the Abraham Accords — dialogue, coexistence, and cooperation — as essential for achieving a sustainable path towards a viable Palestinian state.
