UK plans to expand its campuses in Indonesia and provide 10 thousand scholarships for Indonesian students. This commitment was announced by the UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer during a video conference with the Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Saturday (11/22/2025), as reported by the Cabinet Secretariat’s Instagram @sekretariat.kabinet. This plan is part of the Indonesia-United Kingdom (UK) Strategic Partnership plan, which will be officially launched, aiming to mark a new milestone in the history of cooperation between the two countries. In addition to education, the two leaders also discussed the Maritime Partnership Program, covering maritime security collaboration, information exchange, and law enforcement capacity building, as well as the Economic Growth Partnership. President Prabowo stated that Indonesia is ready to expand collaborations that promote job creation and sustainable economic growth, as well as the situation in Gaza, including the presence of world peacekeeping forces for the protection of civilians and smooth humanitarian aid delivery.
