Ukrainian President Zelensky arrived in Berlin on Wednesday for a video summit with European officials and US President Trump. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz presided over the summit. The call aimed to have European leaders meet with Trump before his planned meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on August 15 in Alaska. Trump has agreed to a follow-up summit with Putin and Zelensky and warned of ‘serious consequences’ if Russia does not agree to a ceasefire.
