The AfD sends a delegation to the Brics conference in Russian Sotschi, leading CDU and CSU to accuse the party of being too close to the Kremlin and anti-democratic. The AfD members are attending the “BRICS Europe Symposium” in Sotschi from November 13th to 17th. CSU Secretary-General Martin Huber accuses the AfD of betrayal, stating that AfD representatives are in Russia to discuss Russian interests with the Kremlin. He describes the AfD as a mouthpiece for Moscow and a risk to the country.
