UoM Faculty Member Attends BRICS Summit in Moscow

Maharaja’s College, University of Mysore’s Coordinator of the Department of International Relations, Bharati Hiremath, joined the International Conference on BRICS Strategic Communication in Global Governance in Moscow. The event, organized by the UNESCO Chair at the Institute of Philosophy, Russian Academy of Sciences, emphasized the role of strategic communication in advancing BRICS’s goals and enhancing cooperation among its member nations. Hiremath presented her views on ‘BRICS plus and sustainable growth of the global south: challenges and way forward.’ She underlined crucial topics like women’s representation in legislation, traditional medicine, indigenous culture, and the significance of digital and financial literacy.
