The President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced on his social network, Truth Social, a new attack on a boat allegedly transporting drugs off the coast of Venezuela on Tuesday (14).
“Under my standing authority as Commander in Chief, this morning, the Secretary of War ordered a lethal kinetic attack against a vessel affiliated with a Designated Terrorist Organization, involved in drug trafficking in the area of responsibility of the US Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) — in the vicinity of the Venezuela coast,” wrote Trump.
According to the American president, intelligence information confirmed that the “vessel was trafficking narcotics and had connections to illicit narcoterrorism networks.” Trump added that the boat was traversing a known drug trafficking route used by terrorist organizations.
The attack, carried out in international waters, left “six male narcoterrorists on board” dead, the Republican added.
