The clinic confirmed the dismissal of Ricardo Barbosa. The Regional Council of Medicine of Pernambuco also commented on the case, without mentioning Ricardo Barbosa by name, but revealed that a complaint involving a professional registered with the Council was received and the case will be investigated. The Brazilian Society of Neurosurgery condemned the doctor’s statement and stated that they are ‘taking appropriate measures’.
