According to this, starting from Monday (August 8, 2025), certain developing countries with preferential trade agreements with the United States will face tariffs on their exports. India, along with many other countries, will be affected by this decision. The move comes as part of Trump’s efforts to boost domestic manufacturing and protect American jobs in line with his ‘America First’ policy.
