WASHINGTON – The Trump administration has taken further action against Iran by imposing additional sanctions. The U.S. Treasury Department announced on Thursday that the sanctions are directed at 13 entities based in Hong Kong, China, the United Arab Emirates, and the Marshall Islands. In addition to these entities, eight vessels are also included in the sanctions. These measures are part of the ongoing efforts to exert pressure on Iran and its supporters, in line with the administration’s foreign policy towards the region. The specifics of the sanctions and the reasons behind targeting these particular entities have not been fully disclosed to the public as of yet.
