US Sanctions India-Linked Firm for Supporting Iran’s Missile and UAV Programmes

The US Department of the Treasury announced sanctions on 32 individuals and entities from various countries, including India, for their involvement in supporting Iran’s ballistic missile and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) programs. Among the targeted networks are those operating in India, China, Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Germany, Ukraine, and Iran. These networks are accused of supplying materials and equipment for Iran’s missile and drone production, specifically for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Farmlane Private Limited, a firm based in India, was highlighted for procuring chemicals used in missile propellant, in coordination with UAE and Iranian entities.
The US Treasury emphasized the threat posed by these networks to US and allied personnel in the Middle East and commercial shipping in the Red Sea. The department stated that the sanctions are part of a broader effort to enforce UN sanctions and prevent Iran from rebuilding its weapons capabilities. John K. Hurley, Under Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence, highlighted how Iran exploits financial systems for its weapons programs and support for terrorist proxies.
The sanctions are in line with Executive Orders targeting weapon proliferation and terrorism. The US has previously designated the IRGC and other Iranian bodies under similar sanctions. While the Treasury did not disclose all the names of sanctioned entities, the focus is on blocking their access to the US financial system and disrupting critical material procurement. This move represents the Treasury’s second round of nonproliferation sanctions, supporting the reimposition of UN sanctions on Iran in September 2025 due to Iran’s failure to comply with international commitments.
