USA: Ukraine sees new version of plan reflecting its interests

The White House stated that Ukraine sees the new version of the United States peace plan to end the Russo-Ukrainian War as reflecting its ‘national security interests’. The ‘revisions’ were discussed by the USA and Ukraine on Sunday (23) in Switzerland, with high-level representatives from both countries and Europe, according to the White House statement. ‘The Ukrainian delegation stated that all its major concerns – security guarantees, long-term economic development, protection of infrastructure, freedom of navigation, and political sovereignty – were fully addressed during the meeting,’ the American statement reported. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky praised the ‘substantial’ results of the meeting on Sunday. ‘A lot is changing. We are working very carefully on the necessary steps to end the war,’ said the Ukrainian leader in a video posted on Telegram. Ukraine also expressed ‘gratitude’ to United States President Donald Trump ‘for his tireless efforts to end the war,’ in a joint statement with the USA (initially released by the Americans).
