Vacuum For 4 Years, Indonesia Menari Comes to 12 Cities

The joint dance movement at shopping centers initiated by Indonesia Kaya Indonesia Menari is back again this year. The event, which invites the community to get closer to traditional Indonesian dances, will be held in 12 cities on October 12, 2025. Through this event, people will have the opportunity to appreciate and participate in various traditional dances in a more modern and engaging way.

“We are excited to bring Indonesia Menari back after a 4-year hiatus. This event is not only about preserving our cultural heritage but also about showcasing the beauty and diversity of Indonesian dances,” said a representative of Indonesia Kaya.

In each city, participants will have the chance to learn and perform iconic dances such as Pendet, Saman, and Kecak. Experienced dancers and instructors will guide the participants, ensuring that the essence and authenticity of each dance are maintained while adding a contemporary twist.

Apart from the dance performances, Indonesia Menari will also feature music performances, cultural exhibitions, and traditional culinary delights. It will be a celebration of Indonesia’s rich cultural tapestry, inviting people of all ages and backgrounds to come together and revel in the beauty of dance and music.

“We want to create a lively and interactive experience for everyone who attends Indonesia Menari. It’s not just a dance event; it’s a celebration of our shared heritage and the joy that traditional dances bring,” added the representative.

The event aims to promote cultural appreciation and understanding while fostering unity and harmony among the diverse communities across Indonesia. By bringing people together through dance and music, Indonesia Menari hopes to create lasting connections and memories that transcend geographical and cultural boundaries.

As Indonesia Menari travels to 12 cities, it will not only showcase the vibrancy of traditional dances but also highlight the talent and creativity of local performers. Through this event, Indonesia’s cultural legacy will continue to thrive and inspire future generations to embrace and celebrate their heritage.
