Vadodara city is hosting the 7th ISSO (International Schools Sports Organization) National Basketball and Handball Championship from November 17th to 21st. This prestigious national competition, spanning five days, has enthusiastic participation from 800 student-athletes from 35 schools across the country.
The championship aims to accelerate youth athletes in sportsmanship, teamwork, skill development, and inter-cultural exchange. The opening ceremony was attended by Vadodara Municipal Commissioner Arun Mahesh Babu, Baroda District Basketball Association Secretary Nehal Ramani, ISSO Director Gaurav Dixit, along with renowned figures in sports and education sector, encouraging young athletes.
During the tournament, various categories of basketball and handball matches will be held to compete for the ISSO National Trophy. The winners, runners-up, and best performers will be honored during the closing ceremony on November 21st.
