Valve: Steam Machine Price to Match PC Performance

Valve has not yet announced the price of its gaming PC, the Steam Machine, which was unveiled in November, although the device will be available for purchase in a few months. In an interview for blogger Skill Up’s podcast, company representatives clarified what players can expect in terms of pricing. Engineer Pierre-Lu Griff noted that the company is still working out the details regarding the Steam Machine price, as there are currently many external factors in the industry that affect costs. However, he confirmed that Valve is not planning to sell the device at a loss to expand its user base. Griff also pointed out that the Steam Machine should be a “good deal” for gamers, as not all users will be able to build such a convenient living room PC themselves, particularly in terms of compact form factor and low noise levels.
