Rayan’s goal, in extra time of the 1st half, came five minutes after Hugo Moura was sent off, leaving Vasco with one player less. The second half saw an attack versus defense match, with Fortaleza pressing and Vasco trying to hold on with up to six players in the backline. Goalkeeper Léo Jardim was one of Vasco’s standout performers. In the final minutes of the game, David, a former Fortaleza player, extended the lead in a deadly counterattack by Vasco.
