Verstappen secures pole in Abu Dhabi; Bortoleto starts in 7th

Max Verstappen from Red Bull Racing secures pole position in the Abu Dhabi GP, the last race of the 2025 Formula 1 season. The Dutch driver continues to fight for his fifth title in the category. ‘I am very happy with the result, it is the only thing we can control, to maximize with the car we have. What we changed, helped,’ said Verstappen. The three contenders for the title will start in the top three positions. Verstappen will be followed by McLarens of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. Gabriel Bortoleto also had an excellent time and will start in seventh position, one of his best grids since starting in Formula 1, matching Monza and Hungary GPs.
