Renowned director Vikram Bhatt and his wife, Shwetambari Bhatt, have been arrested by the Rajasthan police. They are currently in police custody and have undergone medical tests for transit remand to Udaipur. The couple is accused of financial misconduct amounting to 30 crores with Dr. Ajay Mardia, owner of the Indira Group of Companies. Prior to their arrest, six individuals accused in the case were issued notices and asked to appear on December 8. The arrest of Vikram Bhatt and his wife followed their failure to comply with the notice.
