Vini Jr drops compared to last year and finishes in 16th place

Second in last year’s Golden Ball edition, Vini Jr. finished only in 16th place in this year’s vote. The results are being disclosed by France Football Magazine and L’Équipe newspaper, responsible for the award. The Real Madrid forward is ahead of names like Haaland, Lewandowski, and Bellingham. Raphinha is now the only Brazilian still with a chance to be elected the best player in the world at the award. The competition is stiff and includes names like Lamine Yamal, Dembélé, and Vitinha. The voting is done by journalists based on three criteria: individual performances, decisive and impressive character, collective performances and achievements, class, and fair play. A list of 30 finalists is made by the organization and sent to the jury.
