Originally used to transport onions and other products, the steamship SS Medina, built since 1914, left the shipyard in Newport News, Virginia, in the United States, and after many adventures, it has been transformed into a luxury hotel on Bintan Island in Indonesia. The transformation was carried out by entrepreneur Eric Saw, who invested around R$ 97.7 million in the project. Saw saw great potential in the historic vessel and decided to give it a new lease on life by turning it into a high-end hotel that promises a unique and lavish experience for guests.
