Website compares Fluminense’s SAF investment with other national football rivals; check it out

Fluminense presented the proposal to transform the Club into a Football Anonymous Society (SAF) early this week. Some steps still need to be completed for the process to take effect, but projections and comparisons with other clubs are already being made. Carlos de Barros, a partner at Lazuli Partners and LZ Sports, stated in an interview with SporTV that the initial investment is the highest among all SAFs in Brazilian football. The proposal includes an investment of R$ 500 million and a total of R$ 6.4 billion over the next 10 years, funds that are not necessarily ‘new money’, but generated from the club’s own revenue. According to Globo Esporte, Barros’ statement is ‘partially’ correct. The rival Vasco had a promise of an investment above R$ 700 million for 70%. However, 777 Partners only paid R$ 310 million before being removed from the SAF’s management by a court decision.
