What Happened to Her After Ayrton Senna’s Death?

Antônio Carlos de Almeida Braga, a businessman and supporter of Brazilian sports, took Adriane Galisteu to his home in Campinas (SP). The presenter stayed in the city for a long period and received financial assistance from the businessman – before the accident, Ayrton used to provide R$ 6,000 monthly for the model’s family, as confirmed by herself in the documentary.

Living with Braga, Galisteu wrote the book ‘Caminho das Borboletas’. In the book released in November 1994, the former model shared details of her time with the race car driver during their nearly 18 months together.

Braga was shocked by the neglect Adriane endured. He said that such a situation would be impossible if Ayrton were alive. Braga also stated that he would do for Adriane everything that Ayrton would have done.

Luíza Eugênia Konder, Braga’s widow, supported Galisteu’s decision to pose for a Playboy magazine shoot in August 1995. Galisteu mentioned that after the episode and the successful sales of the edition, she felt more confident and empowered to negotiate her own deals and manage her careers as a model and presenter.
