The draw of Mega-Sena contest 2940, with a prize of R$100 million, scheduled for this Thursday (13), as usual, was postponed to this Friday (14). The postponement caught many people by surprise, but it had already been announced by Caixa Econômica Federal.
On a social media platform, the official account of Loterias Caixa announced that ‘luck is coming, but the date has changed,’ a few minutes before the usual draw time at 9 pm.
In the draw held on Wednesday (12) on Caixa Econômica Federal’s YouTube channel, it was announced that the draw would be postponed due to the Proclamation of the Republic holiday, celebrated on Saturday (15), when another Mega-Sena draw was scheduled. Therefore, a single draw will be held on Friday.

The date change was already scheduled on the calendar of draws that would take place in November. However, the draws of Lotofácil contest 3548, with a prize of 5 million, and Quina contest 6878, with an estimated prize of R$600 thousand, were held as usual on Thursday.
