During this period, some services can still be accessed despite the limitations, such as calls and certain essential functions. ‘Hello. Please be informed that upon returning from abroad, access to mobile internet will be restricted for 24 hours. To remove the restriction, you will receive an SMS from the operator for authorization,’ the message from mobile operator Megafon to the agency’s reader stated. The purpose of these changes is to combat the use of ‘dormant’ SIM cards that may be exploited for drones or illegal sales abroad.
