What Putin and Tokaev discussed in the Kremlin

Vladimir Putin held talks with Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in the Kremlin on November 12. Tokayev is in Russia for a two-day state visit. The official meeting of the two leaders took place in the Georgievsky Hall of the Kremlin, where the anthems of Kazakhstan and Russia were played, followed by greetings to the delegations. During the talks, Putin praised the representation of the Kazakh delegation, highlighting the $27 billion trade turnover with Kazakhstan the previous year and $20 billion in the first nine months of 2025.
